Toronto City Mission’s annual indoor beach volleyball tournament will take place at Beach Blast on Leswyn Road on Friday February 4th, 2005 from 6:30 pm to 1:00 am on Saturday morning. Teams of 6-15 are encouraged to raise funds to support inner-city children through the Toronto City Mission. Teams can vary in age and can enter either the recreational division or the competitive league. Each team is encouraged to raise a minimum of $400. There are 24 spots available … so register early to ensure your spot in the tournament! The Robert Hall trophy is once again up for grabs as The Pearl Oysters defend their sweep of Spike Back 2004. Last year Shawn Van De Visch’s squad won the competitive title, trivia contest/skills competition, and greatest fundraising team titles. Shawn himself raised the greatest amount of funds (over $2,000) and won a year’s supply of Tim Horton’s coffee.
